The Spectrum King LED lighting system is finally here at Holland Hydroponics! When we first had this product demonstrated to us, we were impressed with not only its sturdy build quality but also the intensity of the full spectrum of light it emits.

Unlike other LED grow lamps on the market, the Spectrum King doesn’t just use a range of Blue & Red light spectrums, which produce the pinkish light we now associate with LED lighting, instead it uses the full spectrum of light that includes spectrums the human eye can’t see, meaning the Spectrum King emits a bright ‘white’ light that mimics natural sunlight, an area all in-door growers aim to achieve.

The Spectrum King LED 402+ grow lamp, although has a 440w rating, it’s the equivalent to running a single 1000w HPS grow lamp, while the 300 Series has a 340w rating and is the equivalent to running a 600w HPS grow lamp. Both versions of the Spectrum King have significantly cheaper running costs, along with generating less heat, meaning grow room temperatures, especially in the height of summer, will be easier to manage and maintain.

This LED lighting unit is also assembled in the USA using domestic and imported components, while the LED’s are supplied by CREE, a company who have been researching and manufacturing LED’s for over 20 years. The Spectrum King also has no moving parts, so unlike other LED grow lamps, there are no cooling fans that can fail, which can lead to LED clusters burning out and with it having an IP65 rating, the Spectrum King is fully protected from dust and jetted water, allowing this sealed unit to be cleaned with a garden hose pipe.
