Chilli Peppers Now Showing At Week #7 But Are They Habaneros?
Our chilli plant in Burnley is now on week #7 and we’ve got a little confession to make – we’re not entirely sure what kind of chilli pepper this plant has! The peppers have just started appearing and are definitely not of the Habanero kind as it stated on the seed packet! We're thinking they're actually Thai Chilli's but are there any connoisseurs reading this who can ID them?
Besides that slight confusion, it’s been a couple of weeks since our last update and oh has she grown tall in that time! The leaves are still looking a lovely healthy green, and the flowers are now in abundance and showing their faces. We also have a few green peppers growing now!
The feeding regime hasn’t changed too much from last time. Now we’re into the flowering phase, the VitaLink HydroMax Grow A&B has been switched to Bloom A&B and at week #6 1ml per litre of VitaLink Turbo was introduced to help give her a bit of a boost, while the solution is being kept to a pH of 6.
- 3ml per litre VitaLink HydroMax Bloom A&B
- 0.3ml per litre VitaLink Silicon
- 0.5ml per litre VitaLink RootStim
- 2ml per litre VitaLink Fulvic
- 1ml per litre VitaLink Turbo
She’s still happily in the GT205 NFT System sitting under the MaxiBright 315w CDM running a Philips MASTERcolour Daylight Elite Ceramic MH lamp that's now on 12 hours a day.
