Introducing the award winning new RDWC PRO Systems from Alien Hydroponic systems. (Recirculating) Deep Water Culture is a method used to grow plants with roots submerged in highly oxygenated nutrient solution.


Deep Water Current systems are an all new large heavy duty design for those wanting to grow fewer larger plants. The growth in these systems is explosive due to the unlimited supply of super oxygenated nutrient solution being constantly recirculated 24/7 by an inline pump that creates a current drawing the solution through the pots.

This system is available with either 34 or 55 litre pots.

How it works?

The gentle current passes underneath the  mesh pots delivering vital nutrients to the roots, optimizing root zone health and increasing nutrient uptake efficiency. This method of Deep Water Culture maintains uniform PH and EC levels throughout the entire system. There are no timers to set up, just plug in and grow!

What's the difference to other RDWC systems?

The difference with this system is that they are using the same proven negative pressure re-circulating method as their other RDWC systems, but have taken this technology a step further by super sizing to a choice of 34 or 55 litre pots and a massive 4 inch pipe work. These increased sizes result in increased root space and unrestricted recirculation which maximises the potential for the largest yielding plants to be grown hydroponically.

How does the RDWC Pro achieve maximum oxygen levels?

To achieve this they have incorporated a Norres Pro-Air diffuser in the header pot. This diffuser creates micro bubbles which means the oxygen is suspended in the solution for a longer period of time compared to an air stone.

This diffuser cannot be compared to Chinese diffusers which are currently used in other systems.

Their rubber membranes stretch which can therefore produce larger bubbles, react with the nutrients and additives causing slime to build up in the system. The Norres Pro-Air membrane is a clear high durability premium ether-polyurethane which does not stretch or react with nutrients or additives.
