ALIEN HYDROPONICS FLOOD & DRAIN SYSTEMS
The Alien Flood & Drain Hydroponic Systems have a heavy-duty steel wall mounted control module. this module is controlled by a microprocessor, meaning there are no moving parts inside. That's why the Alien systems are reliable.
The irrigation cycle begins flooding the system at a set time with the nutrient solution, the stale air is forced out as the solution rises throughout the entire system it enriches the plant's roots with nutrients. The module will pause at the maximum flood height for 20 seconds, ensuring the water level is equal throughout.
The drain cycle returns all the nutrient solution back to the Aquatank. The system remains idle until the timer reaches the next set flood time then the process is repeated.
With specifically manufactured 32mm flexible PVC pipe and fittings in food grade material. The internal size of the pipe is over 5 x the size of the standard 13mm pipe, allowing the use of faster flowing pumps so the flood and drain cycle is completed up to 3 x faster than other systems. This more efficient process produces healthier plants as the roots are submerged for the shortest possible time. It also minimises the risk of the roots blocking the pipes. The pot stands have been designed sloped which aids drainage.
The tanks are flat packed so the entire system fits neatly into a cardboard box allowing for easier transportation. The material is non-toxic and 100% lightproof. The Aquatanks are a collapsible water tank allowing the whole system to fit through tight spaces where other bulky plastic water butts cannot go.
The entire system is simply push-fit, the electronic control units are tried and tested and are CE approved.
